CAPTIVATED

This documentary tells the story of Tilikum, a killer whale with 3 human deaths to her name. The film reveals what our need to control what shouldn’t be controlled can lead to, for both animal and human. It leaves us to wonder: How can we expect sane behavior, in an insane environment, from any being?

EMPATHY OF A CHILD

Apart from the documentaries, this is something I wanted to show as well. It really spoke to me, as I’ve noticed multiple times how kids often seem to see the things we’ve become blind or even insensitive to. I dug a little deeper, and found that children believe that animals should be treated equally. Which made me wonder. If a kid can see the wrong in our hierarchy, why can’t we?

THE FAULT IN OUR SOCIETY

In this TV show, it is discussed how criminality is a response to society. The show itself tells the story of the start of criminal profiling, in a time where serial killers became more and more common.

MONSTER?

The infamous serial killer, Aileen Wuornos, is known worldwide as the “Monster”. In this documentary, some who knew her tell us what made her, exploring whether she was just a monster, or a victim as well.

In 2003, a movie was made about her story, using her nickname as the title.
